Michael's fundraiser for Derbyshire, Leicestershire & Rutland Air Ambulance

On 4th Feb this year, Michael had a major fall whilst jumping across land at Waltham. The Air Ambulance came and transported Michael to QMC where he had an MRI scan and it was confirmed that he had suffered a serious spinal injury. It was suggested that at best his life would be confined to a wheelchair. As many of you know, Michael is no quitter so after a time in rehab in Sheffield, Michael returned home in May, and was walking. We were delighted to see him at the Open Day in June and again on foot at the Opening Meet. This year, the annual meet at his home is a fund raiser for the Air Ambulance, there will be collection buckets for any cash donations you may wish to give and Michael will say a few words. Michael has a target of £1500 which is the basic cost to mobilise and fly the air ambulance.
The air ambulance gives people the very best chance of survival and recovery. They are supported by a Critical Care Car meaning that we can reach those who need us 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. The charity receives no government funding for its daily missions.
