Employee's of Hologic are coming together to take part in either a 21 mile or 12 mile walk to raise funds for Prevent Breast Cancer. We will be taking on Mam Tor and the Great Ridge in the Peak District for this year charity walk. Prevent Breast Cancer are based just down the road from Hologic at the local hospital, so they are a great local cause that we would like to support.

Prevent are the only UK charity entirely dedicated to the prediction and prevention of breast cancer, they are committed to freeing the world from the disease altogether. Unlike many cancer charities, they are focused on preventing, rather than curing. Promoting early diagnosis, screening and lifestyle changes, they believe they can stop the problem before it starts. Being situated at the only breast cancer prevention centre in the UK, they are right at the front-line in the fight against the disease.
