Story
I'm running the Dublin City Marathon this October to celebrate my wonderful Mam, Rosie Flynn.
Mam died in August 2023, having spent the last few years of her life living with Pulmonary Fibrosis. She got wonderful support from the Irish Lung Fibrosis Association (ILFA). This is a small charity who do great work supporting people living with PF to manage their day to day lives, and live them to as full an extent as possible. And Mam absolutely did that! Right up to her transplant she was living life as fully as she could, in part down to the help from ILFA. This helped to give us some of the special memories we have of her today.
I'm looking forward to running the marathon, thinking of Mam along the way and hopefully raising some funds for this great charity. I appreciate anything you can give, or also pop along to the marathon to cheer on the day!
Thanks
Michael
