Michael's fundraiser for Sefton Council for Voluntary Service (CVS)

Liverpool Cathedral Abseil 2023 · 22 July 2023 ·
I always said that if I was doing anything for charity, it would be something that I didn't want to do. While running a long way was uncomfortable, the idea of abseiling down Liverpool Cathedral is already giving me sleepless nights. There are not many things I would like to be doing less.
The charity is Sefton 4 Good:
"Sefton 4 Good is a charity initiative developed by Sefton CVS, and we aim to help local Sefton-based causes by distributing grants to local voluntary, community and faith (VCF) groups.
Over the years we have helped refugees, food banks, local community and faith groups. The funds we've raised have helped make a difference in Sefton. By donating to us, you are helping to keep your community strong, resilient and vibrant."
Helping local communities seems to have taken extra importance of late. The hardships of cost of living, for example, are local and visible in communities, especially when you're walking down the street and someone tells you that they can't afford to eat.
Personally, I'm not sure I'll be eating before the abseil because I'm not sure there's any showers on site and I'll need to get the train home.
So if you want to support the charity or you simply want to see me get absolutely terrified, I'd be grateful for your support.
