Michael Holden is raising money for British Heart Foundation

Far too many of us have felt the pain of losing someone we love. With your donations, we power groundbreaking cardiovascular research to save and improve lives, bring hope to families, and keep hearts beating across the UK.

Story

Thanks for visiting my page. I'm raising money for the British Heart Foundation and I'd be so grateful for your support.

In January 2024 I was given 2 weeks to live without urgent open heart surgery.

The 65 British Heart Foundation “in living memory” benches are about survival and positivity. Each bench has a unique story.

If you get the time have a look at the Google map link provided in the comments, there’s probably a bench close by you!

🏍️ I’m visiting every British Heart Foundation in living memory bench over the next few months on one of my motorbikes in order to raise awareness and support of our amazing British Heart Foundation 🏍️

I may well be seen emerging through a cloud of two stroke smoke on Bertie, my 1969 BSA Bantam D14-4 ❤️ or at one of the benches on another of my motorcycles.

Hopefully, as the challenge develops, i'll be accompanied by others, and meeting up with friends and family and joining up with fellow motorcyclists on the way 😊

The BHF has helped halve the number of people dying from heart and circulatory disease in the UK but sadly every day hundreds of people lose their lives. It's only thanks to support from people like us that the BHF can create new treatments and discover new cures.

£24 could pay for two hours of research by an early career scientist, but every pound helps so please give what you can to help me hit my target.

Thanks!

Michael Holden

(I had a heart attack in 2024 and life saving quadruple heart by pass surgery).
