Story
In April I will be running the Paris Marathon.
Last year I was diagnosed with Nodular Lymphocyte Predominant Hodgkin Lymphoma, a rare type of lymphoma that only a small number of people are diagnosed with each year. The strange part was that I felt completely fine. Just a lump that didn’t feel right.
The positive side is that this type of lymphoma is usually slow growing and highly treatable, especially when caught early. Survival rates are excellent, particularly for people diagnosed at my age, which is something I’m incredibly grateful for.
I have now finished treatment and I am feeling good, so it feels right to set myself a proper challenge.
If there is one thing I have taken from the last few months it is this. If you notice a bump that does not seem normal, even if you feel absolutely fine, get it checked.
If you would like to support or donate I would really appreciate it.
