Conor's Fund 20th Anniversary 'Bikeathon' - A 185 mile cycling marathon round the Scottish Highlands, with 12,750 feet of climbing thrown in to ramp up the challenge! · 5 June 2023

2020 saw the 20th anniversary of Conor's Fund as well as Conor's 21st birthday. To commemorate both, albeit three years late due to Covid, we are launching our 20th Anniverary Fund Raising Year to continue the fight against Strep A!

Story

Conor was a healthy 11 month-old baby when he lost his life to a Strep A infection during Chicken Pox in 2000. It took just 48 hours to kill him.

Conor's Fund was created to try and prevent such tragedies by raising awareness of serious Strep A infections - their causes, symptoms and possible outcomes - whilst raising funds to support research into their prevention, diagnosis and cure.

That support is needed more than ever now, as most research teams had to pause their activities to work on the front line during the pandemic. Strep A hasn't gone away though, in fact cases are on the rise with a recent spike in child fatalities being reported over the winter. (https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-63836093)

Please help us raise badly needed funds to support research into this potentially deadly disease. If together we can save one life, it will have been worth it.
