I’m running the Grand Teton half-marathon in Wyoming in June and participating via a charity bib to fundraise for two non-profits. My non-profit choice for this event is the Surfrider Chapter.

65 percent of the donation proceeds will go to the Surfrider Foundation and 35 percent to the Wander Foundation.

The Surfrider Foundation's mission is to protect and enjoy the world's ocean, waves, and beaches for all people through a powerful grassroots activist network, focusing on issues like plastic reduction, ocean protection, clean water, beach access, and climate impacts on coasts, using local chapters and campaigns for tangible results.

The Wander Project supports volunteer efforts and give back initiatives to the national parks where many of our events take place.
