Glocky's Great North Run in aid of Blood Cancer UK

Great North Run 2025 · 7 September 2025 · Start fundraising for this event
It's been quite a few years since I first done the GNR and I was a lot younger and fitter back then. I've decided to challenge myself to get back to the same fitness level whilst raising some money for an amazing charity, Blood Cancer UK.
Two of my brother-in-laws have been diagnosed with a type of blood cancer within the last few years.
Andrew has been diagnosed with Follicular Non Hodgkin Lymphoma, which is currently at Stage 3 but low grade, whilst receiving treatment of Rituximab with regular checks from the specialists.
Kev received a lifesaving donor over 3 years ago for Myelofibrosis, which is a rare, chronic leukemia that scars the bone marrow, making it difficult to produce blood cells. He is still in regular contact with the fantastic Freemans Hospital as well as reaching out to his donor, who lives with his wife and children in Poland.
Here's hoping that our small sacrifice can help Blood Cancer UK in their heroic research efforts whilst supporting victims and families of Blood Cancer.
In these very tough times, please only donate what you can afford :)
PS. The disgusting pose is surely worth a donation ;)
