Story
My name is Michael, I'm 20 years old and have had long hair past my shoulders for the last 6 years. I have recently lost a bet to a friend and now need to get it shaved off. In the spirit of not shaving it off for nothing, has led me wanting to do a fundraiser for a charity that impacts my local area. After reading about the work River Kids do in my community, I have decided to choose the charity.
There will be charity event at the Dovehill Arms on the 11th of may, where I shave my head, and fundraising events on the run up to the night.
About River Kids:
River Kids is a charity that aim to, support disadvantaged children and their respective families in West Lothian and the wider community. River Kids aims achieve this by providing those disadvantaged children and their families with opportunities to reach their full potential. This will be through educational, financial and emotional support.
A Word From the Charity:
"Help us support struggling families and disadvantaged children in the West Lothian area!
We view ourselves as a facilitator addressing the disconnect that exists between people who need support and the organisations that exist to support them. We are “Bridging the Gap”.
We aim to become the go-to charity for families in West Lothian to help them access the support they need, which many of us take for granted.
Every penny donated to River Kids goes straight back into the charity."
