This year after spending a penny one too many times in the night, I went and got my prostate checked. It turned out that my PSA levels were considerably high and I ended going all the way through the process which ended in me having a biopsy. Thankfully I was given the all clear however, there are many men that don't get the news I received! That feeling of intrepidation whilst waiting, opened my eyes to whole cohort of people, fathers, sons, granddads, brothers and friends that will embark on a battle fighting their diagnosis!

With this in mind, I vowed to get involved and do something to help raise money to support these inspirational people - even if I don't raise a great amount, least I'll be raising awareness!!

So if you are reading this and feel you have some of the symptoms then please go and get checked! There is a slight stigmata attached to getting your prostate checked - but a little bit of an uncomfortable inspection could mean the difference in receiving an early diagnosis which will greatly help you going forward!

Also, I know we are coming up to an expensive time of year but if you can give a little 'spend a penny' I would be so great full! If you can't give anything thats fine....just promise you'll read about the great work that prostate cancer research do!
