The Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge

- 5.9 in 100 people have Generalised Anxiety Disorder
- 3.3 in 100 people have Depression
- 1.3 in 100 people have OCD
- 4.4 in 100 people have PTSD
- and 7.8 in 100 people have a combination of Anxiety & Depression
Those are some big numbers, but only 1 in 8 adults are currently receiving help for mental health-related issues.
To help raise awareness and to give some much-needed support to those fighting mental health-related issues, I'm going to be doing the classic Three Peaks Challenge in the Yorkshire Dales.
Seeking help with mental health has always been difficult, so I've chosen to fundraise for Mind, a charity that holds a lot of saliency in the mental health space - they have done some amazing things for people who need support and help.
The Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge covers 23 miles... spanning from the heights of Pen-y-Ghent (694m/2,276 ft), Whernside (736m/2,415 ft), and Ingleborough (723m/2,372 ft), and covering 1585m of ascent, I'm hoping to complete the challenge in under 12 hours.
I'd be truly grateful for anything you can give to make a difference in the lives of people suffering from mental health issues.
Thank you!
