Story
On July 18th, my buddy Nick and I are setting off on what will be our ultimate test of endurance: a 600km bicycle journey from London to Luxembourg. No electric motors, no shortcuts—just pure pedal power, grit, and a deeply personal mission.
Our route will take us through the rolling hills of Southern England, across the plains of France, through Belgium, and finally into Luxembourg.
But this isn't just an ordinary cycling trip. For me, this is a journey back to where it all began.
We are setting off from my current home in London and terminating at my childhood home in Niederanven, Luxembourg. Growing up in Luxembourg, these roads hold my earliest memories. Returning to them on two wheels makes this ride profoundly sentimental, a physical bridge connecting my past to my present. It is a journey that will test us, bond us, and challenge Nick and me to our absolute limits.
But the real driving force behind every pedal stroke isn't the destination. It’s who we are riding for.
In April 2026, my world was shattered when my cousin, Maria, passed away at just 38 years of age, from complications due to Diabetes. She was far too young, with so much life left to live.
We are undertaking this 600km trek to honor Maria's memory and to raise vital awareness for diabetes—a condition that affects millions but is so often misunderstood. We ride to keep her spirit alive and to shine a light on a cause that is now permanently etched into my heart.
Maria’s passing reminded me how fragile life is, and how precious childhood should be. That is why we are raising funds for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
Our goal is simple: We want to help fund and grant the wish of a critically ill child. If you are able to donate—no matter the amount—it would mean the world to us and, more importantly, to a child who needs something to look forward to. If you can’t donate, simply sharing this page to help us raise awareness for diabetes is just as valuable.
Thank you for your support, your generosity, and for helping us honor Maria.
Make-A-Wish® UK grant life-changing wishes for thousands of critically ill children across the UK. Sadly, the number of wish enquiries from seriously ill children with less than a year to live is rising fast. They need help to meet this urgent demand now - before it’s too late. For families with critically ill children, every day counts. Your support has the power to make a wish come true for a critically ill child, allowing families to create lasting memories that they will treasure forever – no matter what the future holds.
We are taking care of the training and the physical grit, but we need your help to reach our fundraising target for Make-A-Wish.
