This year I will be participating in various running and triathlon events across the UK in aid of Abbie's Sparkle Foundation.

Abbie's Sparkle Foundation is a charity based in Elgin Scotland supporting children with cancer across the UK. Having helped local families in Morayshire, Shetland, Aberdeenshire, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Dundee, and as far as Birmingham and Stafford.

The charity was set up in 2017 by Abbie Main, a local girl from Elgin who tragically passed away aged 15 after living with Sarcoma, a rare form of cancer for over 4 years.

Abbie's Sparkle Foundation supports children with cancer by providing children living with cancer gifts and grants in the hope of:

Putting a smile on the face of a child undergoing challenges due to cancer.

Giving them even a small moment to feel happier.

Them knowing that someone is thinking of them and understanding that times are hard.

Giving a child a treat that perhaps the family, due to circumstances, can no longer afford.

Creating special memories together.

As well as gifts and grants provided on an individual basis and dependent on need Abbie's Sparkle Foudation also offer cost free respite at the charities lodge located near Aviemore. Last year alone the charity provided every child in Scotland undergoing cancer treatment a Christmas "Sparkle" gift.

I plan to raise as much as possible over the course of the year by participating in as many events as possible. I will be undertaking in the first half of the year:
