We are raising money for Sheffield Children's hospital charity.

We are funding a project like we do every year.

The project that the Egg Run is funding is the Medela milk warmers that have been requested for wards throughout the hospital (Wards 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, PICU and HDU). They heat breast and formula milk without use of water, which reduces the risk of water borne pathogens entering the milk during the heating process. The use of waterless warming devices to warm or thaw milk feeds is considered to be a safer method than the tepid water warming method that is currently used.

The charity is aiming to fund these warmers for each inpatient clinical area to provide the safest care for our younger patients. The current cost we have for each device is £1,352.

We are hoping to fund wards 1-6 this is a big chunk of money, so let's get going!!!!
