When a child is diagnosed with cancer, life becomes full of fear — for them and for their family. Fear of treatment, of uncertainty, of the emotional and practical strain that suddenly becomes part of everyday life.

This year my son was diagnosed with cancer, and Young Lives vs Cancer has been there to support him and our family through treatment. Their help has made a real difference at a time when everything feels overwhelming.

Young Lives vs Cancer helps families find the strength to face whatever cancer throws at them — from emotional support to practical help when it’s most needed. But every day, 12 more children and young people hear the devastating news that they have cancer.

I’m taking on the GB Divide — an event I’ve attempted before but never finished — to raise money for a charity that has supported my family first-hand. All donations go directly to Young Lives vs Cancer to help them continue supporting children, young people, and their families when they need it most.
