Every day on our TV screens we see the appalling conditions in Ukraine as a result of the unprovoked Russian invasion and ongoing war. The American effort to secure a ceasefire has done nothing to change the situation on the ground: fighting continues. The need for outside help is greater than ever, especially as some official support has now been withdrawn. Jeremy and I have heard a couple of talks given by people who have taken part in the Pickups for Peace (P4P) programme and with a connection to a Ukrainian refugee, we were inspired to do something to try to to help.

This is where, with your support, P4P can assist. This small charity was established in 2023 with the aim of providing equipment and humanitarian support to Ukraine in the form of much needed 4x4 pickup trucks loaded with medical and other essential supplies. As of February 2025, P4P has delivered 525 vehicles fully loaded with vital equipment.

Jeremy and I aim to raise enough money to buy a vehicle, fill it with aid supplies and then to drive it some 1,300 miles across Europe and to deliver it to L’viv in Western Ukraine. We want to to do something positive to help the poor people of Ukraine and your contribution will help us to do so.
