Russia’s unprovoked war with Ukraine is now in its 4th year, but news of the war has largely been pushed into the background by the conflict in the Middle East. That does not mean that the situation in Ukraine is any less acute than it was, indeed Ukraine’s effort to defeat Putin’s land grab has been starved of both financial and hardware resources by events elsewhere in the world. As individuals we can’t do much about the bigger picture but we can all do something to help Ukraine: the need for low level support of the kind provided by Pick Ups for Peace (P4) is as great as ever.

P4P is a small charity, formed in 2023 with the purpose of providing equipment and humanitarian support to Ukraine in the form of 4x4 pickup trucks loaded with essential supplies such as generators, medical equipment, tools and the like. To date P4P have delivered 876 vehicles to Lviv fully loaded with vital supplies.

My friend Colin Seaford and I have decided to take part in the July 2026 convoy. To do this we now have to raise enough money to buy a vehicle, fill it with aid supplies and then drive it the 1300 miles to Lviv in Western Ukraine where it will be handed over to the Ukrainian authorities. Your support will enable us all to do something positive to help the people of Ukraine.
