Story

Hello everybody, as anyone who knows me, I don’t mind a cold drink on a hot day but for the month of July, I’m going dry.

I’m doing this to raise money for a great local organisation the Hunter Breast Cancer Foundation. The HBCF services Newcastle, Lake Macquarie and the Hunter region, with little help from governments.

The Hunter Breast Cancer Foundation (HBCF) is a remarkable not-for-profit organization that thrives on the generosity of our local Hunter community. They are dedicated to providing practical and immediate support services for residents and their families who are navigating the challenging journey of cancer.

I have witnessed firsthand the invaluable grassroots help they offer. From transport to and from appointments, cleaning services, lawn care (which I contribute to!), support groups, comfort cushions, and so much more.

This July, I am taking on a personal challenge by pledging not to drink for the entire month. I invite you to join me in making a difference by supporting my campaign: "Pledge Pink for Hunter breast cancer families." My goal is to raise $1,000 AUD to help those affected by breast cancer in our community.

Please dig deep and consider sponsoring me as I stay dry this month. Your contribution will directly impact the lives of those fighting breast cancer in the Hunter region.
