Michael brought a luminous spirit into the world—one marked by sensitivity, kindness, empathy, and intelligence. He was a deep thinker, a loyal friend, a devoted brother and son, and a gentle soul whose presence touched all who knew him.

National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) is the nation’s leading voice on mental health, born from families seeking hope and now supporting millions. Every day, NAMI fights stigma and reminds people they are not alone. A cause very personal to me.

To support this cause, I am taking part in one of 'The Worlds Toughest Footraces' - Marathon des Sables - Legendary 40th. This is for Michael's family, and to help raise awareness and funds to support those affected by mental health illness, and the families left behind by the devastating impact.

187 miles across the Sahara Desert, carrying all food & equipment weighing ~12kg. Temperatures reaching up to 120°F. Seven nights in an open sided bivouac - sleeping 7 on the desert floor. Water the only facilities provided.
