Story
1 in 3 people will have an Acquired Brain Injury at some point in their lives - we want to help give people the best possible chance of recovery.
SameYou works to increase access to recovery for young adults after leaving hospital and to facilitate innovations in specialist nurse training, fund clinical research and develop evidence for policy change.
"Brain injuries and illness wasn’t something that had ever crossed my mind until it effected my wife in 2022. After 2 life altering brain surgeries in the last 1.5 years my wife now begins the long road to recovery. During this recovery I was amazed at how underfunded and underrepresented brain injury and recovery was in the US and UK and that the support needed to help those who are recovering from something we essentially take for granted needs to be highlighted more. SameYou does this. Founded by Emilia Clarke (of Game of Thrones) and her mother, after Emilia suffered a similar traumatic injury as my wife, they work to provide funding for online resources to aid recovery for patients and their families in what can be a scary and daunting period. I am delighted we, at Michael Page Houston, throughout the month of March are raising money for this charity to help increase funding, awareness and support to patients and families recovering from trauma of Brain Injury, Illness and Surgeries"
