Story
I am running the London Marathon on Sunday 26 April 2026 to raise funds for Cardboard Citizens, a charity that transforms the lives of people experiencing homelessness through the power of theatre and the arts.
I have been fortunate enough to work with Cardboard Citizens on several occasions, including acting in the More Than One Story film series, I’ve seen firsthand the impact the company has had on many individuals, as well as how they continue to support people who have faced hardship throughout their lives. I have also had the privilege to engage with staff behind the scenes and witness how hard they work for the company and its members. This experience has only strengthened my commitment to supporting their vital work.
Running 26.2 miles is a challenge, but it is nothing compared to the challenges faced daily by those the charity supports. I am determined to push myself physically and mentally, knowing that every step brings vital funds and awareness to this incredible organisation.
I would be incredibly grateful for any support you can give, whether through sponsorship or sharing my fundraising efforts. Together, we can help Cardboard Citizens continue their essential work and provide a platform for voices that are often unheard.
About Cardboard Citizens
For over 30 years, Cardboard Citizens has been the UK’s leading theatre company working with and for people affected by homelessness.
In the UK today, more than 16 million people live in poverty, and one in every 200 households is experiencing homelessness. More and more people are finding themselves without a place to call home, their situations too often misunderstood. Behind every statistic is a person facing isolation, stigma, and barriers to opportunity.
Through theatre and creative collaboration, Cardboard Citizens amplifies those voices, challenges stigma, and creates pathways for personal and social change.
