Ballynahinch Counselling Service (BCS) is a free, caring, confidential and professional counselling service for those age 12 years and over. The charity was formed in October 2012 by a group of concerned members of the community as a result of the high number of suicides in the local area. Trained, professional counsellors are available to help with a range of issues including anxiety, stress, bereavement, mild depression, relationship problems, suicidal thoughts, health concerns, relationship issues etc. We cover the South Eastern Trust Area and work within Newry Mourne and Down. We are also in the process of setting up a telephone Listening Ear service which will compliment the counselling service in helping to reduce isolation for people in the Ballynahinch area. This service will be provided by trained volunteers.

Has I reach the end of my 50's and going into my 60's.

This charity is very close to my heart. I have been involved for 10+ years. Mental health is also close to my heart. Having services to help us gain good mental health are essential.
