Story
The Core @ FAW24
Along with a fantastic team of pupils, staff and friends, I'm taking part in a school fundraiser to help raise money for a bespoke gym at Five Acre Wood School, where I work. Five Acre Wood is a SEN school supporting children with profound, severe and complex learning difficulties, and this gym will make a real difference to our pupils' physical development, wellbeing and independence.
A team of us will be tackling a 24-hour cardio challenge, with four pieces of equipment in use every hour. I’ll be spending two hours on the bike (I can’t remember the last time I rode one, and I’m currently dealing with a touch of plantar fasciitis… excellent timing - extra sympathy encouraged).
I’m aiming to raise at least £50 to keep my colleagues happy, but there are incentives if I raise more:
£100 – I’ll let my colleague choose a song for me to pedal along to (on repeat)
£250 – I’ll dress up as the Easter Bunny at our school spring event
Any donation, big or small, would be hugely appreciated. Thank you for supporting our amazing pupils!
