Story
I’m running the 2026 Bank of America Chicago Marathon for something bigger than the finish line.
I’m running for my community.
I was born and raised in Back of the Yards, and it’s where I still work today. This neighborhood shaped who I am, and I’ve seen firsthand the barriers many families face when it comes to accessing quality healthcare, especially mental health support.
That’s why I’m proud to run in support of Esperanza Health Centers.
Through my work, we recently secured funding to provide free behavioral health and wellness services for youth in Back of the Yards. In partnership with Esperanza, we brought these critical resources directly to young people at no cost to them or their families.
I’ve seen the impact up close. When care is accessible, culturally responsive, and rooted in community, it changes lives.
But there is still so much more to be done.
If you’re able, please consider supporting my fundraiser. Every donation helps expand access to critical, compassionate care for families in our community. Your support truly makes a difference.
