Story
Last year, Laraine and I walked 106km around the Isle of Wight. There were moments when every step hurt and I genuinely thought, “I never have to do this again.”
And yet… here we are. 😅
This year, Laraine, Emma and I have somehow decided to go even bigger. Together we’ll be taking on 100km around the Lake District, with an incredible 2,492 metres of elevation along the way.
The truth is, the challenge isn’t really about the distance.
We’re walking for Jane Scarth House, a charity that provides support, comfort and hope to people affected by cancer. I’ve seen first-hand the difference charities can make, not only to those living with cancer, but also to their families and loved ones during some of life’s most difficult moments.
As someone who spends my life helping people navigate challenges and find strength they didn’t know they had, I know how important support can be when life feels overwhelming. No one should have to face those journeys alone.
There will undoubtedly be sore feet, aching legs, blisters and moments when we’ll question our sanity. But every mile we walk is nothing compared to the challenges faced by the people supported by Jane Scarth House every single day.
If our steps can help provide comfort, support and hope to even one more person, then every climb, every ache and every exhausted moment will be worth it.
Thank you for taking the time to visit our page. Any donation, no matter the size, will make a real difference and means the world to us.
With love and gratitude,
Michelle, Laraine & Emma ❤️
