Story
On the 10th October 2026, I am planning to throw myself out of an aeroplane at 11,000 feet ( hopefully strapped to someone who knows what they are doing ) to raise money for the tremendous charity, Give Blood 4 Good.
At the beginning of this year, my 21-year-old daughter skydived in Airlie Beach, Australia (see photo), inspiring me to do something I had always wanted to do in my younger years. Unfortunately, as the years have passed, the fear of this feat has grown. However, I am determined to conquer this fear for this charity which I feel very passionate about.
When my sister Nicola was 5 years old, she was diagnosed with a rare blood disease which was life-threatening until thankfully she was given a blood transfusion to help save her life.
I would appreciate any support you can provide for me and this cause.

We are delighted to announce Give Blood 4 Good as our charity partner for 2026/27 🩸✨
Scotland’s blood stocks are under increasing pressure. Blood has a short shelf life and demand remains constant across healthcare settings, from being an essential part of care in emergencies and surgeries, to supporting people living with cancer and blood disorders.
Scotland needs around 450 people to give blood every day to meet this demand.
Give Blood 4 Good is on a mission to get as many people to donate blood as possible. Through working with organisations across the country, they aim to improve education and increase participation in blood donation and empower people to continue to give blood as soon as they’re eligible until they’re no longer able.
The charity is breaking down the misconceptions to remove the fear and mystique that can often be associated with the process, so that everyone who needs a blood transfusion can receive one.
At our Team Day in June 2026 - we made individual pledges to support their mission. We'll be taking part in fundraising activities across the year, and we'd really welcome your support.
