Hello,

I'm Michelle and I am raising money for Alzheimer's Society in memory of my mother who suffered from the disease for over 13 years. As a family we were lucky to have each other for support, not everyone has that. This is why it is important to me to raise as much as I can to help those less fortunate navigate this difficult and devastating disease.

My mother was an inspiration and it is through her that I learnt about and came to love textiles. Memories of our shared connection through textiles and of all the clothes and items she made for the home inspired me to create some new textile artworks, resulting in a joyful and colourful celebration of pattern, textiles and print that references Alzheimer's and remembers my mother in a positive way – reclaiming her from the disease that stole so much.
