Story

In November 2023 I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. After 16 chemotherapy sessions, a lumpectomy, 10 radiotherapy sessions and 12 Immunotherapy sessions, I am lucky enough to say that I am cancer free, I would love to celebrate and mark the occasion. My dad is turning 60 in May and doing a Sky Dive is on his bucket list. SO why not do it together! and raise money for a fantastic cause close to our hearts!
During this awful time, Maggies Southampton have supported myself and my family in various ways. From the minute I was diagnosed my husband and I were invited to a Chemo workshop where we learnt about the side effects, what to expect and how to keep me safe. After Chemotherapy I attended 'Look Good, Feel Better' and Menopause Workshops, both were a great time to speak to others going through the same thing, whilst learning new information. During some of my chemo treatment, due to high levels of respiratory infections in the hospital, I had to have my treatment alone. Maggies offered a space for my Husband or Dad to work and someone to talk to if needed. On some days I had gaps between appointments, Maggies offered the 'home from home' environment I needed to eat my lunch, use the toilet, fill up my water bottle or have a cup of tea during this time. Maggies offers a lot more than this and is invaluable to people fighting the horrible disease.
Saturday 21st June 2025, Dad and I will be YOLO'ing life and completing a Sky Dive! All money will go towards Maggies Southampton so that they can continue to provide the fantastic support at such a difficult time. Please donate if you can!!!
Just getting some practise in…..
