This year, I’m proud to participate in McCormick Care Foundation’s annual Light Up McCormick campaign. I’m joining forces to bring joy to clients, residents, and families living with dementia while raising essential funds to support long-term and dementia care education. But we can’t do it alone—we need your help!

As students, we’ve learned the value of giving back, which is why we’re aiming to raise $10,000 to light the tallest tree at McCormick. Every donation helps us get closer, but the impact extends far beyond the lights.

This event is extra special to me, as my grandma had dementia and watching them slowly forget things is a very hard thing to deal with. She was the best person, so kind, loving and generous. She passed a few years ago but she is never forgotten, and we miss her very dearly. My heart goes out to each and every person that has dealt with this in the past or in the thick of it right now. Let us help bring some joy back to their lives and put a big smile on their faces!!

Every dollar raised directly supports the highest-priority needs at McCormick Care Group, including cherished programs like pet, art, and music therapy, as well as meaningful excursions that bring joy and connection to our residents and clients.
