Story

"From Triathlon to Tranquility"

Those who know Felix know just how special he is. He has a remarkable way of bringing people together, lifting spirits, and reminding us of what truly matters in life. He is deeply loved by us all and has shaped who we are in countless ways.

Last year, Felix moved into Redbridge House, a supported living home where he has embraced new opportunities, friendships, and experiences.

We would be incredibly grateful for your help in transforming the outdoor area at Redbridge House into a welcoming garden space where residents can spend time together, nurture friendships, enjoy moments of peace, and make wonderful memories. With your support, we can create a lasting legacy of happiness, wellbeing, and community for Felix and his friends.

Redbridge House provides a safe and supportive home for young adults with learning disabilities, autism, and additional needs. Outdoor space plays a vital role in residents' wellbeing, offering opportunities to relax, socialise, exercise, and enjoy nature.

Although Felix and his house mates are fortunate to have a large secure garden, it is currently difficult to use throughout the year. Limited pathways, seating, and accessible areas mean that during wet weather the garden often becomes muddy and unsafe, restricting access for many residents.

Our goal is to create an accessible, welcoming garden with proper paths, seating, sensory planting, and spaces to relax and socialise. This will allow residents to enjoy the outdoors safely in every season.

To help make this happen, our residents are taking on an incredible Triathlon Challenge in Portsmouth on 13th September 2026. For each of them, this is a huge personal achievement for varying reasons , and they are determined to help create a garden everyone can enjoy.

Every donation, item of equipment, hour of labour, or cheer from the sidelines will help bring this vision to life.

🌻 Together, we can transform a basic garden into a place where residents can relax, play, socialise, and thrive. 🌻
