After receiving my cancer diagnosis in September 2024, I found myself on a challenging journey that tested my strength and resilience. Throughout this time, the Cancer Wellbeing Centre at Colchester General Hospital was been a beacon of hope and support—not only for me but also for my family. This incredible centre offers vital services including counselling, specialist advice, complementary therapies, practical assistance, and a welcoming space for self-help and support groups. Their unwavering support has truly transformed my cancer journey.

Now, it is my turn to give back to this special place that has given me so much. To raise funds for the Colchester & Ipswich Hospitals Charity, I have committed to taking on a personal challenge: the Harwich Sprint Triathlon on Sunday 14 June 2026. This event involves a 300m swim, a 25k cycle ride, and a 5k run—a test of endurance and determination that I am ready to face head-on.
