We believe early support for pregnant women and new mums struggling with mental health can change lives. When mums get help, their babies thrive too. We’re dedicated to breaking down barriers so every woman feels safe to seek the support she deserves. Together, we can make a lasting difference.

Story

Last year, I was honoured to become a trustee for the incredible charity, MumsAid. Anyone who has been a mum or known a mum will know how challenging those first two years can be.

In the same year, and exactly six months ago, I was diagnosed with ADHD. Late diagnosis came with relief and grief in equal measure.

Trying to navigate unknown neurodivergence, new motherhood, and loneliness in a new city, far from my family and existing friendships, I kept reaching out and I kept being missed.

At times, I still wonder what early motherhood may have looked like if I had the MumsAid model to support me.

This 10k comes ten years after the only 10k I've ever ran, and a decade out of practice. May is a month of anniversaries!

Please donate to my page to support MumsAid in its endeavour to deliver support in London SE and share best-practice therapeutic support across the UK, so more mums may receive this care.

For over a DECADE in the UK, suicide has been reported as the leading cause of direct maternal death between 6 weeks and 1 year after birth (MBRRACE, 2025).

MumsAid develops and delivers the gold-standard in perinatal care, transforming the lives of the mums they have worked with to give their babies the best start in life. The latest impact report shows:

91% reported a stronger bond with their baby

85% experienced improved mental health

100% would recommend MumsAid services

All mums, families and communities deserve to feel the joy that babies bring to our lives.
