Walk for Hearts · 1 May 2025 to 31 May 2025 ·

Far too many of us have felt the pain of losing someone we love. With your donations, we power groundbreaking cardiovascular research to save and improve lives, bring hope to families, and keep hearts beating across the UK.

Story

Thanks for visiting my page. I am walking 50 miles in May to raise money for the British Heart Foundation.

On the 16th May 2024, my beloved husband Gareth suffered a cardiac arrest resulting in an extensive life changing brain injury. He was driving a train at the time and his train did not have a defibrillator.

The British Heart Foundation are working tirelessly to raise awareness of the need for defibrillators to be available and for people to use them.

Every penny raised will help BHF to continue to campaign for defibrillators and also provide research which could reduce the amount of cardiac related deaths in the UK.

This is a big challenge for me as I now care for Gareth 24/7 but part of that care is daily walks. I am pushing myself to reach the goal of 50 miles in a month. Gareth will be by my side as much as he can.

Please consider donating whatever you can to support this great cause.

Thank you

Michelle and Gareth Myatt
