25 Challenges for 25 years of Andy's Children's Hospice

This year I delighted to be celebrating the 25th birthday of Andy's, St Andrew's Children's Hospice. The care we provide for babies, children and young people with life -limiting illness has touched countless families across Hull and East Yorkshire and the wider county of Lincolnshire, which is only possible thanks to the support and contributions provided by you, our community of supporters 🧑

I am also celebrating a personal milestone, as I look back on my 25 years being part of the St Andrew's Hospice family. The person I am today has been driven and shaped by the people I have cared for, supported and worked alongside. I am so proud to have been part of St Andrew's Hospice Team; not just the staff and volunteers, but children, patients and their families.

To mark my 25th anniversary, I am taking on 25 very special challenges which will push me out of my comfort zone in many ways. The aim of these challenges is to connect with patients and families, our supporters in the community, as well as colleagues at the hospice. It is about raising much needed funds for the hospice, but also recognising some of the challenges our children, young people and families go through. I can't ever fully experience what those are like, but stepping into difficult, frightening, and thought-provoking adventures will help me connect with some of the experiences of our patients and their families.

I will not be doing these challenges alone. I will be joined on every one by Alfie the Andy's Bear. I am also hoping family, friends, colleagues and our community will join me on some of my adventures πŸ«±πŸΌβ€πŸ«²πŸ½
