I am stepping out of my comfort zone to take part in Women of Power 2025, an event celebrating strength, resilience and power of women. I have spent 30yrs working in the NHS, dedicating my career, supporting patients and families, and ensuring the best quality and experiences for those who need it most. I’ve seen first hand the incredible work done at Liverpool Women’s Hospital and the difference that world-class treatment can make. But now it’s time to step forward and take on a challenge, standing alongside incredible women, and raise funds for a life-saving HIPEC machine that will transform ovarian cancer treatment. I do not see myself as ‘powerful women’, but I know that years of experience, dedication, and care matter. If my journey can inspire even one person or make a real difference to those fighting cancer, then this challenge will be worth it.
