Story

Growing up I remember being amazed by the spectacle of the London Marathon. In particular the everyday people who dedicated their time and put so much effort into meeting both their own personal challenges and also raising money for causes close to their hearts. It was truly inspiring!

Now, in 2024, I have finally been fortunate enough to gain a place in this event and have so far managed to avoid injuring myself in training🤞. For me, this is not just an opportunity to fulfil a lifelong dream but also a chance to make a difference in the lives of those less fortunate than myself. I have chosen to fundraise for The Immanuel Project, a local charity based in Bradford.

The Immanuel Project is a voluntary, non-profit charity dedicated to supporting and serving the homeless and vulnerable members of our community.

Monday to Friday, The Immanuel Project offers breakfast, hot lunches, snacks, teas, and coffee to their guests. But it doesn't stop there. They also run a wellbeing programme, have hairdressers, medical professionals and other services, providing practical and pastoral support to those who are most in need.

The Immanuel Centre is truly a haven for those seeking warmth, safety, and security. With an incredible team of volunteers by their side, they create an environment that is welcoming and supportive for all who enter its doors.

But The Immanuel Project needs ongoing help to continue their vital work. They rely on additional volunteers, donated items, and online donations from generous individuals like you.

By supporting my participation in the London Marathon 2024 and donating to The Immanuel Project, you can make a tangible difference to the lives of those who need it most. Together, we can provide physical care, emotional support, and pastoral guidance to our community's most vulnerable members.

Join me on this journey as we strive towards our fundraising goal of £1000. Your contribution will go directly towards helping The Immanuel Project expand their reach and impact even more lives.

Let's help to support local communities and show what we can achieve when we unite behind a cause that truly matters.
