Story
As this year marks 10 years since Daddy’s sudden passing, myself and Breege have decided to run the Belfast City Marathon together in a team relay, on the 4th of May, to raise vital funds for British Heart Foundation (BHF) Northern Ireland.
Since Daddy’s death, my brothers, sisters and I avail of a genetic testing service every three years in Belfast City Hospital. This service was funded through ‘The Miles Frost Fund’ and BHF. A service that we don’t take for granted and greatly appreciate.
The Miles Frost Fund aims to raise £1.5 million to help make genetic testing available to all families affected by the deadly heart condition hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. The Inherited Cardiac Conditions Service in the Belfast Trust was the first in the UK to benefit from the funding.
Any support would be amazing and a huge benefit to our family, and many others in Northern Ireland.
The ‘Sole Sisters’ will be ensuring they live up to their name on the 4th of May.
