Hi, my name is Michelle

On 7th September 2025, I will lace up my running shoes for the AJ Bell Great North Run, for the very 1st time embarking on the world's most iconic half marathon.

My story about giving back to a charity that helped me in the past, I volunteered in 2016 to 2019 with Mind doing various roles, and 2019 ran a 10km for this amazing charity.

Volunteering with Mind build my confidence to then volunteer in James Cook Hospital in 2019 Then, I secured a full-time job from 2019 and am currently a Healthcare Assistant in James Cook hospital.

This will be my 1st Great north run a massive challenge both mentally and physically , and would like to raise awareness for the incredible support this charity has given me in the past, and continues to do with people struggling with mental health,

Every little helps every donation goes to the amazing work this charity does and every conversation no matter how small can makes a difference to someone struggling with mental health, this is why ive choosen this charity for my 1st Great North Run and also encourages me to tick this one of my bucket list challenges.

We couldn't continue to do what we do without the amazing support of our Great North Run team. With each step they take, each pound they raise, and every conversation they have, they'll be making a difference for better for mental health in Teesside, ensuring that every local person has somewhere to turn to for support and advice.
