Working for The Air League has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my career. Every day, I see the passion of the volunteers, partners, and colleagues who give their time to help others discover opportunities they may never have thought possible. I’ve seen how one chance, one introduction, or one scholarship can completely change the direction of someone’s life. Seeing first-hand the impact this charity has on lives across the UK is a huge part of why I wanted to take on this challenge.

Running has always been a love-hate relationship for me. I crossed the finish line of the London Marathon, pushed through Spartan obstacle course races, and taken part in smaller events over the years. After some time away from running, I knew it was time to challenge myself again, not just for personal achievement, but for something far bigger than me.

That challenge will be the Duxford Dash 2026, taking place in October 2026 at the iconic Imperial War Museum Duxford. Running among historic aircraft in such a meaningful aviation setting feels like the perfect way to support a charity that is all about helping people take flight in their own lives and careers.

This run is for the young person who dreams of a future in aviation but doesn’t know where to start. It’s for those who need support, confidence, and opportunity to take their first step. And it’s for a charity that continues to open doors and change lives across the UK.
