People Say We've Got It Made
Let me begin with an outrageously pretentious name drop…I was listening to Deb Googe being interviewed at the Brighten The Corners music festival in Ipswich, when a picture of Terry Hall caught my eye…and that’s how I discovered Tonic Music.

Music has always been my go-to medicine. It gets dark, I get the turntable fired up. It works for me. So, I’m eternally grateful that there are people, past, present and future, who have made, are making and will make music; my medicine.
The world we live in right now doesn’t seem to lend itself to good mental health, I think that’s safe to say. I can’t be the only one who’s got family and friends dealing with their own issues, demons or challenges, that are sometimes not immediately apparent. Depression, anxiety and addiction rarely come signposted.
So, Tonic Music ticks lots of boxes for me. Tonic Music for Mental Health began in 2012 and they offer tailored mental health training and support for artists, crew, industry professionals and music fans.
All Roads Lead To Rome
I’m planning on running the Rome Marathon on Sunday 16th March 2025, it’ll be my third marathon, and if my knees have anything to do with it, it’ll probably be my last! I’ve set up this JustGiving page because I’m going to try and raise some money for Tonic Music. I’m not trying to break any records, running or fundraising, but if you’d like to make a small donation that would be much appreciated.
Take a look at their website - www.tonicmusic.co.uk - share their story and get people talking about mental health.
