Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. This page has been set up in tribute to Mickey Brady, welfare rights activist, former MLA and former MP for Newry and Armagh. He passed away on 16 January 2026.

Palestine and freedom for the Palestinian people was a cause close to Mickey's heart right up to the end. He travelled to Palestine and often talked about the day that the Palestinian people will be free from occupation. This fundraiser is in memory of him but also to raise awareness of the important and life-saving work of Medical Aid for Palestine (MAP). After more than two years of hospitals being attacked, ambulances targeted and aid blocked by the Israeli forces, Palestinian healthcare is in ruins. MAP works with local health partners, doctors and nurses to rebuild vital systems.
