Story

Every Young Person Deserves a Chance – Let’s Make It Happen

Over the past year, I’ve been volunteering as a mentor with Caudwell Youth, supporting young people who are facing some of life’s toughest challenges, from mental health struggles and difficult family situations to the care system and wider vulnerabilities.

This isn’t just a cause I support, it’s something I’ve been personally involved in, week in, week out. I’ve seen how powerful consistent support can be. Sometimes, it’s simply showing up. Listening. Being there. But over time, it builds trust, confidence, and change.

Caudwell Youth matches trained volunteer mentors with young people who need someone in their corner. Our work is focused, one-to-one, and long-term. And it works.

Right now, we’re operating across Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire, Luton, and Milton Keynes, and we’re committed to reaching more young people who need support but aren’t getting it.

That’s why, between May and August 2025, I’ll be climbing the UK’s three highest peaks, Snowdon, Scafell Pike, and Ben Nevis, to raise funds for Caudwell Youth.

The money raised goes directly towards supporting young people. It means more mentor matches. More consistency. More time invested in those who need it most.

If you can, please support this effort. Every pound raised will help another young person feel seen, heard, and supported.

Thank you
