Story
On Sunday 12th October, I’ll be taking on the Royal Parks Half Marathon in support of Battersea Dogs & Cats Home, a cause very close to my heart. Battersea has been a beacon of compassion for over 160 years, providing safety, care, and a second chance for thousands of dogs and cats who have nowhere else to turn. Their work goes far beyond rescue — they provide expert veterinary care, rehabilitation, training, and rehoming, ensuring every animal has the opportunity to find the loving home they deserve.
Battersea also campaigns tirelessly to improve animal welfare across the UK, raising awareness about responsible pet ownership and working to influence laws that protect animals from cruelty and neglect. They never turn away a dog or cat in need, no matter their age, breed, or medical condition, and they continue to offer lifelong support and advice to pet owners. By running this race, I hope to raise vital funds that will help Battersea carry on this incredible work — giving abandoned and unwanted animals a brighter future filled with kindness, care, and love.
Any donation will help. Thank you.
