Greetings from Midlife Migration, we are David and Suzy, a husband and wife in our mid-50s, rebelling against middle age and embarking on a remarkable journey that began nearly four years ago when we decided to trade the familiar for the unknown.

Out went the house, out went most of the belongings and out went the grind of working flat out all year just to get by. Living, working, and traveling in our trusty 32-year-old Hymer motorhome, is now our life and we couldn’t be happier.

Our story started with a dream, a longing for a more liberated existence filled with quality time for each other and a deep desire to explore the world. After facing unexpected challenges and the impact of the global pandemic, we found solace in simplicity and embraced a nomadic lifestyle. Now, as we approach our 4-year anniversary of alternative living, we are gearing up for a new and exciting chapter.

In March 2025, we are heading to the USA to embark on an epic cycling adventure along the East Coast Greenway – a 3,000 mile journey filled with breath-taking landscapes, unforgettable moments, and the joy of the open road. But our journey is not just about us this time; it's an opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of others, we are peddling for a purpose.

We have chosen to support Go Beyond, a UK based charity that provides free respite holidays for disadvantaged children aged 8-13. These children all come from different backgrounds, some physically abused, some carers, some living in poverty but all struggling to see the joy in this world.

As we pedal our way through the USA, we aim to raise funds to contribute to the wonderful work this charity does, offering fully funded, moments of joy and respite to deserving children at one of two of their holiday centres, one in Cornwall and one in The Yorkshire Dales.
