During domestic violence awareness month, we are raising money for WINGS. Our OB/GYN doctors, patients, and friends have been tremendous supporters of WINGS over the years. In 2022, together we raised over $7500! Please consider donating again in 2023.

Domestic Violence occurs in every community including ours.

• Abuse can take many forms including physical, economic, emotional, verbal, sexual and stalking or cyberstalking.

• 1 in 3 women has experienced domestic violence in the U.S.

• 20% of women in the US have been raped.

• About 240,000 pregnant women are battered each year by their partner.

• Women ages 18-24 are most commonly abused by an intimate partner.

• 1-15 children are exposed to domestic violence each year, 90% of these children witness the violence.

WINGS is the largest domestic violence agency in Illinois, offering a continuum of services including 145 units of housing across Metropolitan Chicago, counseling, financial guidance, legal advocacy, career development, life skills, mentoring, Community Based Services, and a comprehensive Children and Family Services.

Since 1985, WINGS has continually produced successful outcomes, working toward the vision of creating a society where every survivor has a voice and the resources to break the cycle of domestic violence.
