Story

Pedalling for a Purpose: Meet the "Mighty Oak's"!

This June, the children of Oaksey are teaming up, gearing up, and digging deep to take on a massive challenge: the Crudwell 24hr Cycle Ride on June 20th, 2026.

Calling themselves the "Mighty Oak's", this determined group of young riders will be taking turns in the saddle to keep their wheels turning for a full 24 hours. It’s going to take incredible teamwork, plenty of energy, and a lot of heart—but they are riding for a truly life-changing cause.

Why We Are Riding: Supporting St Vincent De Paul Nursery

The Mighty Oak's are dedicating every single mile to the children of the St Vincent De Paul Nursery in Kibera, Nairobi, Kenya.

Kibera is one of the largest informal settlements in Africa, where daily life presents severe challenges for families. The nursery provides a safe haven, but it relies entirely on external support to keep its doors open.

By sponsoring the Oaksey children, your donations will directly ensure that 85 vulnerable children in Kibera continue to receive:

* Vital Early Education:Giving them the foundational tools to break the cycle of poverty.

* Daily Nutrition:Providing healthy, reliable meals that are crucial for their growth and learning.

* Nurturing Support:A safe, caring environment where they can simply enjoy being children.

Your Support

From tiny acorns, mighty oaks grow. Every penny raised by our young cyclists will go directly toward giving these 85 children a brighter, safer, and healthier start in life.

Please show your support for the Mighty Oak's as they take on this 24-hour marathon! Whether you can spare a little or a lot, your contribution makes a massive difference.
