We are suggesting donations to Asthma & Lung UK in memory of Mike as it is a cause close to the whole families hearts. As many of you know I have suffered lifelong with severe asthma and it was COPD that Dad lived with.

He was the best Dad I could have asked for and the one I’d choose every time given the chance. He was an amazing grandad and great grandad to my children and grandchildren, as well as all the other friends etc we all picked up along the way who also called him Grandad.

He taught locally for many years first in Holland Haven, wife Joe and then nearly 30 years at Burrsville Juniors (great Clacton Junior School) and touched so many lives. I’m so proud of him in many ways. He loved nothing more than a night out at Karaoke and I know many of you will know the more cheeky risqué Dad who definitely never acted like a teacher! He’s left a gaping hole in our family but we are so glad to have shared our lives with him.
