Story

And it's happened again. Not content with a 1200 km bike ride through the Pyrenees this year, I've decided to sign up with my brother, Matt, for our first ultra marathon 😬

We'll be running 100 km or 62 miles (!!) from Putney Bridge to Henely. It’s pretty flat, but it’s still really, really far…

You might have noticed that the picture for this page is one of me on a bike and not one of me running, this is because I’m not a natural runner, so I don’t do running events, so I don’t have any photos of me running. Thinking about it, this may not be the most enjoyable thing I’ll ever do.

Because of this I thought I’d give myself an incentive to get me over the finish line. That incentive is to raise money for a foundation so dear to me it would be crazy to give up mid run. And the foundation I chose is Superhumans. https://superhumans.com/en/

Superhumans is a state-of-the-art rehabilitation center in Ukraine. Its goal is to help adults and children who have sustained life changing injuries during the ongoing war in Ukraine, they specialise in manufacturing prostheses and taking patients through both physical and psychological rehabilitation. With many friends and family affected by the war in Ukraine I couldn’t think of a better foundation to raise money for.

Thank you so much for any donations, and, please, wish me luck!
