Mellon Educate is an Irish-English based African development charity founded by developer & philanthropist Niall Mellon in 2002 and established as a charitable company in 2004.

Through a chance meeting with Niall in 2012 we were able to set up his charity in the UK. Thanks to the enormous collective effort of some 25,000 volunteers, in conjunction with the South African government, we have been able to build houses for 125,000 homeless people in South Africa’s poorest townships and help educate 100,000 through the building and refurbishment of 38 schools.

I am going out to Cape Town on November 17th 2023 to build a school in 7 days with 300 fellow volunteers to participate in the Building Blitz.
